Eating Clean After Baby

Category

Breastfeeding a new baby in the fall and winter is one of my favorite memories. Snuggling up on the couch with my little one and a cup of soup in my hand is so relaxing. All of my babies are fall and winter babies, so I have a lot of experience in losing the baby weight during the crisp and cold months while still breastfeeding. All of my babies were born in the Pacific Northwest, though we live in Florida now. I have a very popular 10-day detox plan for breastfeeding mamas to get off sugar and start losing weight, and I wanted to also create a seasonal plan for the pre-holiday months. These are recipes that will help you lose the baby weight because they are clean, full of nutrients and light in calories, yet also help you keep your milk supply up.&nb Of course many of the breakfast…

Postpartum nutrition is really important. And when I say really, I mean it is something that can make or break your healing, energy levels, milk supply and more. I am super passionate about postpartum nutrition because it is the key to keeping both mama and baby healthy after birth. I’ve been slowly working on starting a movement here at The Postpartum Cure, pushing mamas to learn what good, healing nutrition looks like, and why it is important after birth. The medical community is taking notice, and I am so excited to now be working with doctors and OBGYNS to help provide more resources and care after birth. I personally was handed a sheet of simple exercises to do for healing, and offered whatever I wanted to eat from the hospital menu…that was my experience with postpartum care and healing. If you want even more nutrient advice for postpartum healing and…

One of the biggest concerns for breastfeeding mamas with a healthy diet is a gassy baby. Many mamas seem to believe that the healthy foods they are eating are causing their baby to be super gassy and fussy. My middle child was the fussiest baby, and every night I had to hold him for hours, or he would just cry. There are many reasons that newborn babies are gassy, and food isn’t necessarily the main culprit, though allergies can play a role. If you are trying to eat a healthy diet and consuming lots of fruits, veggies, oatmeal and other potentially gassy foods, you could be thinking that is the cause of your baby’s gas and upset tummy. Let’s look into what is proven to cause a gassy and fussy newborn baby: First, there is no actual research that foods eaten by the mother get into breast milk, and then…

I’ve learned so much, which is why I created my specialized program, just for postpartum mamas who want to lose the baby weight, properly nourish their bodies and heal their core and pelvic floor muscles. Losing the baby weight safely is very important. If first involves nourishing your body properly, because nourishing your body will provide it with the building blocks it needs to create milk, and use fat as a fuel source to do so, which is why we gain a healthy amount of fat during pregnancy. Food is a powerful tool when it comes to milk supply and weight loss. There are some powerful foods that help you increase your milk supply, while also helping you lose the baby weight. That is the amazing magic of nutrition. Nourishing your body postpartum is what my program is centered around because food is so accessible and what your body needs to function properly. If you are looking for a more in-depth plan that goes over healing postpartum, properly nourishing your body for milk supply, a meal plan and recipes and workouts to lose the baby weight, please check out my new program, The Postpartum Cure. So many mamas are having tons of success with just the little…
