There’s been a growing movement to support breastfeeding mamas with products, cultural acceptance, and normalizing breastfeeding in public. I LOVE this movement! Postpartum and breastfeeding care are so close to my heart, and so many mamas are left with a new baby with no idea of how to care for themselves. All focus goes to the new baby, while mama is left tired, depleted, and just getting by. What’s been super exciting is to see all these new breastfeeding products to make life as a nursing mama so much easier!

As I’ve been seeing all these new products, I wanted to compile the ones I am most excited about because of their healing, nourishing and life-altering abilities!

I am going to split this big list into categories, so if you are looking for something in particular, you can jump to that category. Basically, I am going to go over lactation supplements, postpartum wear, pumping and milk storage, and other gadgets breastfeeding mamas need.

The New Wave Of Lactation Supplements:

Lactation supplements help promote a healthy and substantial milk supply for breastfeeding mamas. When I was breastfeeding there was still a limited selection of lactation supplements. Now, I am IN LOVE with all the options out there to nourish your body while breastfeeding! Here are the top supplements I’ve found.

Milk Dust Lactation Protein Powder:

This is brand-new on the market and has grown in sales and raving reviews. I’ve created this product specifically to help new mamas beat their sugar cravings, while also keeping their milk supply soaring. It is so much more than a lactation supplement, but is also a nutrition supplement that tackles milk supply by nourishing your body properly. This is a big deal because you can use lactation supplements short term, but you aren’t addressing the underlying cause of lactation issues – which is often nutrient related. It is a common fear that when dieting milk supply drops. With Milk Dust, you can safely diet, lose weight and keep your milk supply up. It is now available on Amazon with FREE SHIPPING for Prime members.  Of course, this is a plant-based protein powder that tastes amazing. It is Non-GMO, gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, and corn-free. Please use code LACTATION for 10% off your first order, or check it out on Amazon. There are lots of reviews to help you decide if it is the right product for you.

Fenugreek Lactation Support Drops:

Fenugreek is one of the most popular lactation herbs for milk supply because it works. Of course, like many herbs, not everyone has positive reactions, but the majority of mothers see benefits from using fenugreek paired with other herbs. These drops combine Fenugreek and Blessed Thistle, both potent galactagogues. I wish I had simple drops to drink instead of the fenugreek tea, that tasted like black licorice.

Freshly Moms Golden Milk for Clogged Milk Ducts

Golden Milk For Motherhood is a latte that helps with clogged milk ducts. Oh, how I wish I had something like this to drink! I had a few clogged milk ducts, where I ended up with an infection. There are only 3 ratings on Amazon, but I would definitely give it a try if you are prone to clogged milk ducts. Anything to prevent mastitis and antibiotics.

Majka Lactation Bites:

These are amazing snacks for breastfeeding mamas! I have tried them all, and I highly recommend them to help with milk supply, as well as nourish your body – quickly! These are completely natural, better than many of the packaged cookies and bars out there, and fenugreek-free. This means that if you are sensitive to Fenugreek, you can still eat these and get many benefits!

Motherbee’s Meal Delivery Service:

Meal delivery is expanding and gaining popularity, and this service specifically for healing and care postpartum looks amazing! I haven’t had an opportunity to try any of the healing broths, teas, or meals, but they do have a sample page where I believe you can try it first. You have to make specific orders at specific times, but I’m sure more of these healing-focused meal delivery services will be popping up more and more!

These are my top choices for new and improved nutrition and lactation support for breastfeeding mamas. New products continue to pop up with wonderful ingredients, and I can’t wait to keep adding them here! Feel free to leave a comment with something you’ve found that you love, and needs to be added!

Breastfeeding + Postpartum Clothing:

Nyssa Fourthwear™ Underwear | Revolutionary Postpartum Underwear

This is brand-new on the market, and the soft, stretchy, healing underwear has a pocket for a heating pad to help with cramps. If I only would’ve had these with my second and third babies! I had the worst postpartum cramping while breastfeeding for a week or so after birth, and these would’ve been a lifesaver.

Breastfeeding-friendly Clothes:

There are so many options now for breastfeeding mamas to wear stylish, comfortable clothes, with easy access for breastfeeding. I found a lot of options on Amazon, so I didn’t link one particular brand or product because it is such a big market now. I thought this cute hoody was the perfect example of some of the fabulous options that are out there now!

Nursing Ponchos By Bun Maternity:

These nursing ponchos are another example of super cute, nursing-friendly clothing that various brands are developing to help breastfeeding mamas.

Breast Pumps + Gear:

Willow Wearable Pump:

How amazing is this?! One of my least favorite aspects of breastfeeding was being stuck to a pump. I couldn’t keep up with my toddlers while pumping, so I had to be selective about when I pumped, or put my older two on a tv show to keep them safe while I pumped my third baby. This invention is literally amazing! It is expensive, but they have a monthly payment option. This one by NUK is very similar and half the price, and there are more affordable options on Amazon like this one, which is probably what I would’ve purchased if I knew they existed when I was breastfeeding.

Improved Manual Pumps like The Haakaa:

Breast Milk Savers:

A few years ago, breastfeeding mamas were just using nursing pads to soak up extra milk. Now there are various milk savers that catch the milk to save it for later! This would’ve saved me a lot of laundries and pumping time!

Lavie Massager for Clogged Milk Ducts:

This is an awesome invention to help relieve clogged milk ducts. Combine this with the herbal latte I mentioned above, and most clogged milk ducts should be kept at bay! Nobody wants to go on an antibiotic while breastfeeding, so this handy and affordable tool is so worth it. I spent multiple shower times squeezing and massaging extra milk out, and I wish I would’ve had this!

Twist Breast Milk Storage Bags:

These storage bags are super efficient and easy-to-use milk storage bags. With twist tops, you are less likely to spill any of the important milk. What’s even better is that you can put these into a Kiinde Squeeze Bottle (which is supposedly great too!), so you can feed your baby directly from the bag, rather than having to pour it into a bottle.

Nanobebe Breastmilk Baby Bottle:

These bottles are amazing because they are specifically made for breastfeeding babies, who need to take a bottle. The breast-like shape makes it revolutionary and allows babies to feel like they are breastfeeding. They say it helps with colic and gas as well.

Breastfeeding Courses + Online Resources:

With the invention of so many wonderful breastfeeding products, there’s also a growing number of very valuable online resources. I’ve been super impressed by what professionals have created for mamas to learn to breastfeed, get help with their diet and nutrition, or find recipes, all ONLINE! If you are still in your third trimester, this is a great option for staying in your pajamas (or your husband’s T-shirt) and learning everything you need to know! Here’s the top list.

Mixology Breastfeeding Online Course:

This is great for mamas learning to breastfeed. Maybe you’ve struggled with milk supply in the past, and want to know more this time around, but most likely this is best for you if you are a first-time mama. It is a very straightforward, comprehensive course on everything you need to know about breastfeeding.

The Postpartum Cure program + app:

Of course, I have my program and app, which nothing like exists. It is a trademarked program that involves more than just breastfeeding nutrition. There are full recipes, meal plans, workouts, and a 3-week program to heal your abs and pelvic floor after birth. There is no other comprehensive course like this out there – and it comes in an app too!! So simple and easy to use.

Mommy Labor Nurse’s Sleep Course: Baby We’re Home:

This is a brand-new course for new mommies that need more sleep. I highly suggest all the courses by my friend because she is a mama and labor and delivery nurse. They create amazing courses for mamas, and all breastfeeding mamas need to know how to get their babies to sleep longer!

Pumping 101 Ebook:

This is a nice little ebook that has gotten some great feedback from pumping mamas! If you are new to pumping or struggling with pumping in general, this is a great little book to add!

You can also get all sorts of FREE BREASTFEEDING tips, tricks advice, and more over at my Milk Dust blog. I have professionals contribute their best advice for milk supply, nutrition, pumping, baby tips, and more!

If you haven’t yet, check out all our courses, programs, challenges, & recipe book!
